THE POWER OF ONE

Can one person really get the world to change,
The beat of the song that remains the same?

Isn’t that the stuff of imaginary stories?
Where evil is defeated and good receives its glories?

Well, perhaps not, for there is a thought,
One which most people have forgot.

That there is a force within THE POWER OF ONE,
That when set in motion can’t be undone.

One idea; one voice,
One word; one choice,
One purpose; one love,
One mission; The One above,

Yes, there is a force within THE POWER OF ONE,
That when set in motion can’t be undone.

It is unleashed…

When one fights for what is right,
And stands for justice day and night.

When one tries to make something better,
By re-thinking a system that’s lasted forever. 

When one hates less and shows love more,
When one makes peace instead of war.

When one tries something new,
When one has the encourage to see things through.

When one believes fully that… ‘I’m possible’,
Breaking up the thought… that’s ‘Impossible’.

Yes, there is a force within THE POWER OF ONE,
That when set in motion can’t be undone.

One can stimulate the mind,
Like Newton, Galileo, Tesla, and Einstein.

One can be the vessel, from which creativity does flow,
Like Da Vinci, Beethoven, Shakespeare, and Michelangelo.

One can make peace the most important thing,
Like Mother Theresa, Ghandi, and Jr. Martin Luther King.

One can invent something that leaves us completely floored,
Like Archimedes, Gutenberg, Edison, Bell, and Ford.

One can philosophize and ponder who we are,
Like Aristotle, Plato, Socrates, Confucius, and Descartes. 

And there are the ones that elevate the soul and free us,
Like Bhudda, Muhammed, and The Messiah Christ Jesus.

Yes, there is a force within THE POWER OF ONE,
That when set in motion can’t be undone.

It exists in every One… famous or unknown,
One in a crowd or One all alone.

So never underestimate yourself,
Believing greatness is only for some One else.

You are One person, but with something special to give,
A uniqueness gained by the life you live.

Yes, there is a force in THE POWER OF ONE,
That when set in motion, can’t be undone.

So mother, father, daughter, son,
Be the force that is THE POWER OF ONE.
